Terms of service

The agreement

These terms are between the merchant installing the app and Påster (business ID 2205201-2), Betaniankatu 12, 20810 Turku, Finland. Installing GetPPWR means accepting them.

What the service does

GetPPWR reads a store's fulfilled orders and the packaging data the merchant enters, and calculates the weight of packaging material placed on the market per destination country and reporting period. It produces documents the merchant can download and submit.

What the service does not do

These figures are calculated from fulfilled Shopify orders and the packaging data entered in GetPPWR. They are prepared for review and submission by the producer or its authorised representative. Generating this document does not register the producer, submit a report, or discharge any obligation under Regulation (EU) 2025/40 or national packaging law.

Filing remains the merchant's own act. We do not submit anything to any register on a merchant's behalf, and we are not an authorised representative for any EPR scheme.

Accuracy, and what it depends on

The reports are only as accurate as the packaging weights the merchant enters and the order data available to the app. Merchants are responsible for weighing their products and packaging correctly and for keeping that data current.

Where the app cannot see a merchant's full reporting period — for example because Shopify limits app access to recent order history — every report states the date its order data begins, on screen and on the first page of the downloaded document. Merchants should read that statement before filing.

Fees

GetPPWR is billed through Shopify's billing system on the plan selected in the app. Charges, trial periods and cancellation follow Shopify's billing terms. Uninstalling the app ends the subscription.

Availability and support

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Support is available at hello@getppwr.com.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to a merchant is limited to the fees that merchant paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for penalties, fines or other consequences arising from a report a merchant filed, from data a merchant entered incorrectly, or from a filing deadline a merchant missed.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Finnish law.

Ending the agreement

A merchant may uninstall the app at any time, which ends the agreement and deletes their data. We may suspend or end the agreement if the service is used unlawfully or in a way that damages the platform or other users.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Finland. Disputes are heard by the District Court of Southwest Finland (Varsinais-Suomen käräjäoikeus), unless mandatory law gives the merchant a different forum.
